TO THE ONE WHO WINS
Dear American Government,
Hello. My name is Chelsea Hood. I am a citizen of America, as they say.
To you, I am this. A piece of paper.
FEMALE
29
BORN: WASHINGTON D.C.
CAUCASIAN
Although all I’ve ever considered myself was to be a citizen of the planet, with the same rights and freedoms as everyone else. Somehow along the way, human beings started splitting off into sections. I suppose it seemed like the best way to control people, which maybe is the best word to use.
As far as I can see, I don’t see how being separatists in political parties has done us any good in the new world we have been creating.
You can promise all day long on the polls.
You can each say how you’re a more proper candidate.
You can say whatever you want. At the end of the day, it matters not what you say. Only what you do. Therefore, you are all equal in the race in my eyes.
This is the same for everyone on this planet everywhere.
To whomever wins, all I ask is this:
Think about the systems that are set in place already and how you can actively improve them before wiping them out all together.
Consider how you can develop the economy by making people more self sufficient. If you stop suffocating them with either over complicated systems, or ideals that people have to be better than the other person, you will be surprised at what individuals are actually capable of.
Please don’t collect people into sanctions, or think because you’re the first female president, or a multi-billionaire, or the most conservative, that based on this simple fact you have the best platform to offer, or the most power. You’re the same as everybody else.
Think before you put more money into things like 3 strikes laws, or building prisons, instead of paying better wages to your employees of all kinds, or building more schools.
Please stop dropping bombs on people. Seriously, you’re not protecting anyone, you’re just aggravating an earth with very sensitive energies to come back and bite you–you know where. Do you really want that?
Don’t focus so hard on anti-drug wars. Focus on the issues you already have that make people want to do drugs in the first place.
The news is insane. You’re making mountains out of molehills.
You all have complete and total equality to write the future. I don’t see any other way, and wish you all the best.
LET’S EFFECT THE FUTURE. TOGETHER.
Regards,
Chelsea Hood
